Data Recovery
Sooner or later it
will happen. Computer and especially Hard Drive failure is inevitable. When it does
occur, valuable data becomes inaccessible, unless you have backups. However, all
to often people haven't backed up their important data such as business information,
documents, financial records, family photos, videos, music and more. That's where
we come in. In most cases the data can be retrieved. All you need to do is bring
in or mail in your computer or storage device and we'll do the rest.
THREE LEVELS OF DATA RECOVERY
- Level 1 – Basic File recovery. This means that the Hard
Drive isn't physically damaged but the computer won't boot, perhaps due to corrupt
operating system files. Using the correct tools and expertise the data can be recovered.
Costs: $99 to $199
- Level 2 – Advanced file recovery. This means
that the Hard Drive is failing but there is no internal damage. This will require imaging
the drive with special software and then recovering the data from the image.
It may also be that the controler board is defective and needs to be repaired.
Costs: $199 to $599
- Level 3 – Hard Drive has physical internal damage. In this case
the hard drive needs to be disassembled in an ultra-clean working area to replace
the defective components. Then it must be imaged as in Level 2 Data Recovery. Stuck
or damaged heads, seized bearings and defective motors fall under this category.
Drives in this condition need to be sent to a data recovery lab for repairs.
Costs: $1,000 and up
